The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores. The LDB is committed to government's goals of making life better for people in B.C., improving services, and ensuring a sustainable province for future generations. The revenue generated by the LDB helps fund essential public services like health care, education, and community programming.


The Wholesale Operations division is the hub of beverage alcohol distribution in British Columbia. There are three business units: Wholesale Supply Chain, Pricing & Imports, and Distribution, working in partnership with suppliers to maintain a resilient and responsive supply chain whilst focusing on exceeding our customers' expectations, and giving back to the communities, we serve. Our stakeholders comprise approximately 1200 Agents & suppliers, over 800 retail outlets and 9000 licensed establishments. The Wholesale division's ethos of continuous improvement through innovative strategies, unmatched relationships and talented teams makes this a vibrant and stimulating environment in which to keep developing your expertise and knowledge.

Career opportunities exist below for both seasonal and auxiliary sales positions throughout the province. Vacancies and ongoing opportunities will be divided into distinct Recall Areas. A recall area consists of either a single store or a number of stores grouped by geographical proximity.

Single Store Recall: If you are hired in a single store recall area, you will only be called to work in the store that hired you.

Multiple Store Recall Area (RA): If you are hired in a multiple store recall area, you will be told which location within that recall area you are expected to report to when you are called or pre-scheduled for work.
